Modern Guitars Presents Dan Sindel "Marching In" CD Giveaway

Modern Guitars Presents Dan Sindel "Marching In" CD Giveaway (April 30, 2009)

Modern Guitars magazine is giving away three Dan Sindel Marching In CDs, a six song EP that is Dan's guitar tribute to "The March King" John Philip Sousa.

Sindel's guitar roots run from the '80s when he shared the stage in Los Angeles with the likes of Racer X, Metal Church, Armored Saint, King Diamond, Wendy O. Williams and other metal mashers. Somewhere down the line he got the zany notion to put out his debut album with covers of movements from Handel's "Messiah" and three Sousa marching songs, including "The Washington Post."

Sindel, a "One Man Orchestra," recreates orchestral scores by transposing and transcribing the compositions to fit the guitar's tonal range. Hundreds of layered guitar tracks create a massive guitar "Wall of Sound." Sindel's been featured in Guitar Player magazine (April '08) and the July issue of Electronic Musician. His online sites can claim over 500,000 downloads.

Entry emails must be received by June 1, 2009. Only one entry per person is allowed and auto-generated sweepstakes entries will not be accepted. The three winners will be randomly selected on June 2, 2009.

You can submit your chance to win the CD Marching In by simply sending an email with DANSINDELCD in the subject line to the following Modern Guitars address: sindel@modernguitars.com stating your full name, mailing address, email address and telephone number.

Dan Sindel - Peterson Tuners StroboRack - Pro Expander Upgrade Tutorial

4.15.09 for press release
Dan Sindel SONUUS G2M demo featured at www.petersontuners.com

"Symphonic Guitarist" Dan Sindel has created a very informative video for Peterson Tuners featuring their new guitar-to-MIDI converter the SONUUS G2M. In this video Dan demonstrates how to connect the G2M into a DigiDesign Digi002 Control Surface and create loops in Pro Tools LE 8.0. The electric guitar is now able to access high quality software synthesizers and virtual instruments just as a keyboard would allowing a guitarist to create thousands of new sounds.

The G2M™ is a simple-to-use, highly effective, guitar-to-MIDI converter. It is “Universal” because it doesn't need a special pick-up mounted on your guitar, but instead simply connects to your guitar like any other effects pedal or tuner.

Designed to give accurate triggering, with low-latency, it is a true plug-and-play solution for monophonic MIDI guitar. It can be used to sequence bass lines and guitar solos add an edge to your live performances — it opens up many creative possibilities. No modifications are required to your guitar; no special pickups to install; and nothing needs to be “stuck” onto your instrument. It works with all electric guitars.
